Los Angeles based singer/songwriter, Mariela Arredondo has been honing her skills as a musician since a very young age. Born and raised in Costa Rica, she grew up listening to a mix of Latin Music, Pop and Rock en Español and moved to LA to study Jazz, R&B and Soul at Los Angeles College of Music.

The love for all kinds of music has melted into interesting influences in her songwriting style. She has toured around the world as Nova Mariéé, and does work as a session singer for renowned musicians/producers such as John Avila (Oingo Boingo) and Grammy-Winner Stanley Clarke (his song “Last Train To Sanity”, featuring Mariela, was nominated for a Grammy).

Working along with producers across the globe, Mariela is taking over the sync world with her multi-genre songwriting skills. Take for example her last single "En Silencio" which has a mix of spoken, rap, and sung components. This minimal percussive Urban Latin Pop track showcases Nova's latina side but she definitely enjoys writing in both English and Spanish. You can hear her music on Ads/TV/Film such as "American Horror Story" and Hulu's "High Fidelity", where "El Movimiento" was featured.
